Personal Gadgets and their 10 years of Technological Development.
Gadgets are everywhere in today’s society. In comparison, if you consider as early as 10 years ago the amount of gadgets in people’s homes was significantly less. It is hard to imagine just how people manage to cope in this day and age without the many gadgets that are available. Clearly, as time has progressed the availability of them has increased significantly.
So what gadgets do we use mostly nowadays, certainly the most common gadget that we have is the trusty mobile phone. We use our phones without thinking and it is clearly one of the most important tools that go wherever we go. There are that many people who are dependent upon their phones that without it they feel naked and as a consequence they use it so often in both home and work environments.
Another gadget that is common feature now in the home environment that certainly was not around as little as 10 years previously was the MP3 player. We can store thousands upon thousands of gadgets on our little mps players and listen o hours and hours of music. What’s more, the music’s sound quality is incredible and as good as CD’s.
As a small child I was given a cassette walkman as a birthday present, and I felt so happy. The large, metal box had orange headphones and massive grey buttons. I was so happy the next day when I walked into school with my large portable walkman. Today’s mp3 players are tiny in comparisons and the sound quality would have been so much improved on my walkman. I would not have ever thought of insuring my old casette, but insurance for expensive gadgets is becomming more common, and this type of gadget insurance can be purchased from companies that provide notebook insurance.
The development of Mp3 players in the last 10 years has been incredible. The first mp3 player I owned was quite big, although it did last for many years and the sound quality was good. You can actually buy waterproof mp3 players. Not splash proof, but waterproof, as in you are able to go swimming with them and this would break the monotony of swimming up and down quite nicely.
Another gadget that is becoming more frequent amongst gadget owners is the iphone. I actually own the latest iphone and I do find it hard to think how I coped before. With it I am able to check my emails wherever I go and this can be good for business when I am returning emails to customers. When I first go into computers 10 years ago I would have been amazed that my phone had the same power as my computer back then.
Many people have gadgets in their home and indeed on their person. Although there has been a significant development in the technology of gadgets over the last 10 years, in the next 10 years there will be even more progress as technology advances. Just like 10 years ago, the technology that we have at our fingertips now will become almost laughable when we look back from the year 2019.
